The House We Call Home

When Lotus Buds Childrens Home was established, we rented facilities in Mount Lavinia, a suburb of Colombo. However, we soon outgrew this small house and began the search for a bigger place to call "home."

In 1997, through the generous donations of many people, we were able to build a new house for Lotus Buds, on five acres in the country. Today, the Russell Nivasa provides room to grow and a healthy environment for our family.

Russell Nivasa - our home.

Our vision does not stop with the establishment of Russell Nivasa. There are still many more needy children who need a loving home. In response to their need it is our desire to build two additions to our current home.

In 2001 we hope to begin construction on an additional baby wing, so that we can provide a home to abandoned and orphaned infants. In addition, we plan to build a seperate boys dormitory on the land adjacent to Russell Nivasa.

This additional space will allow us to expand our ministry to the many needy children of Sri Lanka. If you would like information about how you can contribute to this project, please fill out our on-line form or email our Director.

We plan to build the boys dormitory on the land behind Russell Nivasa.
